Green Beans and Basil

 
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans
1/4 cup Basil Olive Oil
1/4 cup Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
3/4 cup grated parmesan
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
1/2 small Shallot thinly sliced
Snap off ends of the green beans.  Blanch beans for 3 to 5 minutes, immediately place in ice water to stop cooking process.  Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in skillet add sliced shallot and cook until shallot is soft. Drain beans and toss with shallot remaining basil olive oil and traditional balsamic until well coated.  Stir in parmesan top with torn basil.
